Looking for a green smoothie recipe to kick start your day in the best way possible? This delicious recipe is so speedy to make and packs in four different fruits and veg for a tasty, smooth and satisfying drink. Adding coconut milk gives a creamy, luxurious finish and will help you to feel more satisfied than if you had purely fruit.

This green smoothie recipe is definitely best made right before you want it, so you get the most nutrients out of the freshly prepared fruit and veg but it can be made in advance if you know you’ve got a busy morning ahead. Simply blitz everything as you normally would and pop into a sealed bottle before taking it with you wherever you need to be. Remember to give it a good shake up and everything will blend back together before you drink.

We like to think of our green smoothie recipe as a starting point, a place to begin from where you can swap, chop and switch up ingredients as you please. So long as they’ll blend easily you can use pretty much anything. Leafy greens like kale, spinach and even lettuce are full of good-for-you-vitamins and exotic green fruits like kiwis, star fruit and grapes will give bundles of sweetness to help cut down your refined sugar intake.

If you’ve got a glut of green veggies then you can easily prepare them and freeze in small portions to whizz into a smoothie at a later date – they’ll pulse up well and will give your finished drink a deliciously cool taste.
