Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York has opened up about what she feels her daughter Princess Eugenie will be like as a first-time mother.

Sarah Ferguson, who has two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, will become a grandmother for the first time when Princess Eugenie’s baby is born. Reports have recently claimed that this will be in mid-February so the Royal Family and royal fans alike won’t have long to wait for the new arrival.

Preparing to welcome your first child may be daunting, but now Sarah Ferguson has opened up about how she feels Princess Eugenie will be as a mother - and how she could be inspired by the Duchess of York herself.

“Having not had my own mother around, I’ve always been determined to be a very present mother with my children, and I know Eugenie will be the same with hers,” the Duchess is understood to have explained exclusively to Us Weekly.

“She is incredibly empathetic and will be a great mother. She is a very strong and determined person, always looking for the truth in all she does.”

“Her work for the Anti-Slavery Collective is a commitment she steadfastly campaigns for, to give everyone the chance to have a voice,” the Duchess of York continued.

Duchess Sarah reportedly went on to share that: “Jack and Eugenie are certainly looking forward to sharing the new baby with the whole family. I have always been so close to my girls and it is such a joy to see them embarking on this next phase of their lives. We call ourselves the tripod and it’s a real honor to see them grow.”

When did Princess Eugenie announce her pregnancy?

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank first announced their pregnancy with an adorable Instagram post back in September 2020, nearly two years after they married in a beautiful ceremony.

They initially kept their exact due date a secret, simply saying they were expecting their new arrival in 'early 2021'. However, it's now been claimed their new baby is due in February.

We can’t wait for the new arrival!
