The Queen has two new puppies and she's named them after people and places that are close to her heart.
· The Queen bought two new puppies last month to keep her company at Windsor Castle.
· One of the puppies is a corgi, a breed which the Queen is known to love, while another is a dorgi.

The Queen is known for her love of Corgis and she's added two new puppies to her brood.
According to sources she bought the two puppies on a pet website and paid £2650 for them. And while she loves Corgis, one of the new puppies is a cross between a corgi and a dachshund - and known as a dorgi.
The Dorgi has been named Fergus - after the Monarch's uncle. Fergus Bowes-Lyon was The Queen's uncle, and her mothers brother, who died in World War I in 1915.
While the Corgi is named Muick - after a lake in Balmoral. Loch Muick, based in the Highlands, in said to be one of the Queen's favourite spots and is regularly seen walking on the Loch when she visits Balamoral.

The Queen is said to have owned up to 30 Corgis and has loved the dogs since she was small. She has also owned a handful of Dorgis.
A source told the Sun: 'Both name choices are extremely poignant and dear to the Queen. Loch Muick is one of her favourite places on the Balmoral estate and the loss of Uncle Fergus in the First World War is still honoured by the family.'
While the source also explained that one of the new puppies will keep the Queen company at Windsor Castle, while the other one will help Prince Philip recover after his surgery.
The Queen isn't the only member of the royal family to acquire puppies during the pandemic - Kate and William welcomed an 8-month-old cocker spaniel to the family in January, after their dog Lup died last year.
