The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly moving to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor with their three children this summer
If you've been wondering where Prince William and Kate Middleton have been over the past week, the duchess's uncle may have the answer.
- Prince William and Kate Middleton have their 'hands full' with their move to Windsor this summer, according to a Middleton family member.
- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly relocating to Adelaide Cottage with their three children, after over a decade of living at Kensington Palace in London.
- In other royal news, Prince Charles sparks flurry of comments with surprising fact as he shared sweet pics from his recent engagements.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been notably quiet over the past week – and it looks like there's a good reason for it.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were last seen in public on Tuesday, August 2 at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham, where they supported participants in the swim heats of the Commonwealth Games 2022. They were joined by their seven-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, whose cheeky faces and adorable stripy dress at the athletic event delighted royal fans everywhere.
It looks like the Cambridges' outings have been put on pause, however, as the family prepares itself for a major life change ahead of the autumn season.
Rumors have been whirling for months that Prince William and Kate Middleton are moving out of London for good, after reportedly growing tired of the hustle and bustle of the UK's capital city. The couple is expected to move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, where they will be able to give their three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, a more 'normal' upbringing outside of the spotlight.
The decision to resettle in the historic market town will also give the royal tots a chance to be closer to the Queen, who made Windsor Castle her permanent residence in March.
Gary Goldsmith, Kate's uncle, has now shared an exciting update on the Cambridges' relocation plans.

"William and Kate are going to have their hands full this summer as they move home to be nearer the Queen and settle the kids into a new school," he told the Sun, before adding, "I think they are ready for the next chapter in their lives."
As well as shifting all their belongings into their new four-bedroom house, the Cambridge duo are also busy enrolling their kids in a brand new school. It's been widely speculated that George, Charlotte, and Louis will attend Lambrook School, a co-ed preparatory institution with term fees of up to £7,000. Until July, the older two Cambridge children were pupils at Thomas's Battersea, while Louis was in his final year at the Willcocks Nursery in South Kensington.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have lived in Apartment 1a at Kensington Palace since 2013, having previously occupied Bodorgan Hall in Wales for the first few years of their marriage. Despite the impressive scale of their four-story London flat, the couple has reportedly been itching to escape urban life for quite some time now.
"I think Wills and Kate need space to bring up their children," Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine, told the Sun. "Kensington Palace is a glorious prison for kids – they want to be able to play football without being watched from behind the gates. I think Windsor will be perfect for them, as they will have lots of freedom and they can all be at school together."
