A royal source revealed to The Sun that Prince William and Duchess Catherine are planning to move to a property near Windsor Castle.
Although there are a variety of places to live on the Windsor estate, including Prince Harry and Meghan's former home, Frogmore Cottage, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly considering Adelaide Cottage on the estate.
A royal insider revealed, "Finding a way to make Adelaide Cottage work seems to be the best and only option. There are issues with all the other houses, so Adelaide will be the favorite."
This property is the most newly refurbished on the estate, which is why the royal couple is considering this cottage which will be more appropriate for their busy family of five.
The cottage is located on the grounds of Windsor Home Park and is close to St George's Chapel, which has been the home of many momentous royal events, including Prince Harry's wedding and Prince Philip's funeral.
The cottage was built in 1831 by King William IV for his wife Queen Adelaide. It was where the royal couple would visit as a day retreat in a more secluded area of the estate. This location was also frequented by Queen Victoria who would often have tea or breakfast in this quaint location.

The cottage was also lived in by Group Captain Peter Townsend, who was involved in a scandal when he, a divorced RAF equerry became Princess Margaret's boyfriend.
The property has since been used as a guest house for the guests who visit Windsor to see the Queen, but it has not been used as a home for some time. The home is just a 10-minute walk from the Queen's lodgings so this house will be perfect for the young family to spend more time with Her Majesty.
