Martha Stewart has let fans in on her secret to looking good at an older age – and no, it's not Botox.

The lifestyle guru, who will celebrate her 80th birthday this August, revealed that strenuous exercise in the great outdoors is a major factor in her wellness routine in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"Climb mountains," she advised knowingly. "I climbed Kilimanjaro. For goodness sake, I went up into the Himalayas."

Martha summited Africa's tallest mountain, which stands at a whopping 19,340 ft, back in 1993. While her daily self-care involves a nutritious diet and gardening, she is also a huge proponent of tackling physical challenges to stay strong and healthy. "You have to do that kind of stuff," she added. "That's the kind of stuff that keeps one vibrant and young and it's important.”

Mountaineering isn't the only high Martha enjoys. In the morning, she sprays herself 'from head to toe' with a CBD tonic before beginning her skincare routine consisting of vitamin-C serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Contrary to popular belief, Martha hasn't undergone surgery to achieve her fresh-faced appearance.

"Makeup and skincare have improved so drastically over the last 10 years," she said. "I'm really happy about it. It really does help a tremendous amount. It's skincare that's doing it. It's not the knife."

Another key element in maintaining her youthful glow is diet. While many of Martha's iconic recipes may be rich and decadent, the culinary expert prefers to keep things simple when cooking for herself.

“I want organic, I want clean, I want tasty, and I want healthy,” she said in a 'What I Eat in a Day' video for Harper's Bazaar. She typically starts her day with a light breakfast of fresh green juice and coffee, which lines her stomach nicely for her first proper meal at lunchtime. She'll usually fix herself a salad with seafood or her backyard eggs, which will keep her energized until dinner. This large meal tends to include meat like chicken or lamb paired with fresh vegetables and beans from her garden.

As for alcohol, Martha doesn't deprive herself of the occasional drink – but she makes sure she's never sipping alone. The business tycoon enjoys relaxing with friends over a glass of wine or a vodka cocktail every now and then, so long as she doesn't have to be up too early in the morning.
