Polly Gray, the character played by the late Helen McCrory in the hit show Peaky Blinders, has been remembered by the hit show with a touching tribute.
Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory died of cancer aged 52 in April 2021. As a beloved member of the Peaky Blinders cast, many wondered how her character Aunt Polly would be written out of the show and Helen's death would be addressed in the sixth season.
On February 27, fans watched as the BBC show paid homage to the late Helen McCrory and also gave her character a beautiful send-off and funeral scene. Fans have loved this 'bittersweet' tribute which some are calling the 'perfect' way to honor the late actress.

Who killed Polly in Peaky Blinders?
It was revealed within the first few minutes of the show that Polly Gray was killed by the IRA in retaliation to Tommy Shelby's plotting against them.
Tommy discovered that his aunt had died after three body bags were returned to him. It was revealed that Barney, Aberama Gold, and Polly Gray had been the victims when the scene cut to Aunt Polly's funeral.
Polly's son Michael Gray then resolved to get revenge on his cousin Tommy who he blamed for his mother's death. "Mum, it was the ambitions and strategies of our man that caused this," said Michael. "I swear in the name of almighty God, no matter what it takes, no matter how many lives I have to take, I will take revenge on Tommy Shelby."
How was Helen McCrory remembered by Peaky Blinders
The show paid tribute to the late actress as they dedicated the episode to her memory. A message on the screen said,"Dedicated to the memory of Helen McCrory OBE 'Polly Gray'."
Fans loved this tribute and many took to social media to share their thoughts about this 'perfect' message. "The passing of Polly Gray couldn't have been scripted any better, a perfect tribute to the great Helen McCrory.
