Rainy days are best spent cozied up on the couch watching your favorite TV series (Bridgerton anyone?) or a lighthearted rom-com. There's nothing more annoying though than when you can't decide what to watch. It can feel like most of your day is being spent scrolling through Netflix trying to find something new and interesting to capture your attention.
For anyone who struggles with indecisiveness, Netflix has come out with the "Play Something" feature which will decide what to watch for you.

How does Play Something work?
Think of this feature as a shuffle button, but for your TV. Just click on it and it will put on a random movie or TV show based on what you've watched in the past. If you're not satisfied with what it picks, then just hit "Play Something Else" and it will switch to a new movie or show, or it will play something you're already watching, haven't finished, or have added to your list.
Still not sure how it works? Netflix also broke it down on Twitter with step-by-step instructions.
To find the new feature, Netflix tweeted that you can "Locate it underneath your name, as a row on the homepage, or in the menu."
PLAY SOMETHING will show you:✔️ A new series/film similar to one you've watched before✔️An episode/film you’ve already watched and may want to watch again if it's been a while ✔️ An episode from a show you've started but haven't finished (it will pick up where you left off) pic.twitter.com/cVAVkraeOkApril 28, 2021
According to Business Insider, the streaming platform has been testing this feature since last summer. Netflix's COO and chief product officer Greg Peters even said, at the time, that the feature was "really working for us." The company also found that sometimes, users just want to "skip browsing entirely" and have Netflix choose a title for them.
If need a new show to distract you until season two of Bridgerton, or want a thriller like You (they just released the cast for season three!), newer shows and movies like Behind Her Eyes or The One are sure to keep you hooked. But if you just don't feel like making a decision, Netflix has you covered.
