Hilary Duff has opened up about her pregnancy struggles in a recent Instagram post, revealing that she misses her old body.

The 'Younger' actress shared her experience with sciatica, which is characterized by pain in the lower spine, buttocks, and thighs, with her 16.3m followers. Hilary, who announced that she is expecting her third child last October, hasn’t held back on discussing the downsides of pregnancy.

She posted a picture of herself lying on her bed with a strained expression, captioned, “When the pregnancy sciatica gets ya.” The Lizzie McGuire star also admitted that she prefers her body when she’s not expecting, sharing a photo of her in her pre-pregnancy days in her Instagram story.

“Would be lying if I told you I didn't miss this body,” she wrote.

Despite her health issues, the busy mom-of-two is still smiling, expressing her gratitude for her body’s strength. “But this one is working hard and doing pretty cool things for our little/big family, and I'm super grateful and excited about that!”

Hilary’s ‘little/big’ family includes her eight-year-old son Luca, from her previous relationship with Mike Comrie, and her two-year-old daughter Banks, who she shares with her husband, Matthew Koma.

Several months into her third pregnancy, she has revealed that she has no plans to find out the baby’s sex before giving birth.

“During these times, we felt it wasn't really appropriate. The way we are creating some excitement within the family is to wait to find out the sex on the baby's birthday,” she told People Magazine in December.

Hilary also added that while she’s delighted to be expanding her family, this will likely be her last child. Like many women, the singer has found the process of pregnancy and birth extremely challenging.

“I'm not one of those women who loves being pregnant by any means, but I appreciate what my body's doing for me and our family.”
