Meghan Markle stepped out in a chic all-denim outfit in California this weekend that looked notably similar to a favorite outfit of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
- Meghan Markle made a sweet nod to one of Princess Diana's most famous looks in California last week, wearing an all-denim outfit to support Prince Harry playing polo.
- The Duchess of Sussex ditched her signature formal attire for a casual ensemble of loose denim shorts and a matching denim shirt for the summery event.

Meghan Markle emulated Princess Diana's effortless style in California last week, rocking a denim-on-denim outfit to support Prince Harry at a polo game held near their £14 million Santa Barbara mansion.
The Duchess of Sussex looked effortlessly chic as she watched her royal husband compete in the semi-final of the Pacific Coast Circuit Inter-Circuit Cup on Friday, staying cool in a pair of loose, high-waisted denim shorts and a lighter-toned button-up denim shirt with short sleeves.

RRP: $85 / £85 | This belted design gives the classic denim jacket added shape for a more curve-loving finish. On warmer days wear it undone for a more relaxed vibe. Layer over floaty summer dresses or a pair of beige tailored trousers for a smart weekday look.
RRP: $388 / £360 | The best shirt dresses give tailoring a feminine spin and the same can be said for a denim shirt dress. This has an elasticated waistband to ensure you don't look overwhelmed and it's crafted from a rigid denim for a structured shape.
She complimented the summery blue ensemble with brown sandals, a gold watch and bracelet, and some oversized black Valentino sunglasses.
The 40-year-old also tied a black, long-sleeved cardigan around her shoulders, likely for throwing on in case temperatures were to drop suddenly. Meghan Markle's hair, as per usual, looked sleek and shiny as it flowed loosely beneath the soaring West Coast sunlight. She was later photographed kneeling next to Harry, whose team, Los Padres, lost the game, under the shade of a tent.

The equestrian event, which was held at the prestigious Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, also saw the duchess rock an outfit undeniably similar to those frequently worn by the late Princess of Wales.
Diana was known for her love of denim clothes, often arriving at casual engagements in garments woven in the popular cotton textile. She was also fond of doubling up her denim - a look colloquially known in North America as the Canadian Tuxedo.
And while she experimented with different colors over the years - who could forget those iconic white dungarees she wore at Highgrove House in 1986 - her go-to shade was a crowd-pleasing classic blue.
It's understood that Harry and Meghan, who emigrated to the US in 2020 after withdrawing as senior royals, have been spending quite a lot of time at the world-renowned polo facility since moving to Montecito, Santa Barbara.
The A-list couple made their first trip to the UK together since their big move at the beginning of this month to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee but remained relatively low-key for the duration of the celebrations. The visit did, however, give royal fans their first pictures of Lilibet, after a private birthday party was held at Frogmore Cottage for the Sussex's adorable baby daughter.
