Giovanni Pernice has delighted Strictly fans by praising his partner and posting about their incredible impact on Strictly viewers.

Strictly Come Dancing started again in September 2021 and fans have been hooked on the brand new series. All eyes have been on Rose and Giovanni who has been pegged as one of the best Strictly Come Dancing 2021 couples

It has now been revealed that after Giovanni and Rose performed on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday, October 30, 2021, the google searches for learning sign language increased massively.

Giovanni announced on Twitter, "'Searches for 'learn sign language' rose by 1,011 percent from 5 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, whilst Strictly was on air.' Now this is cool."

Rose is Strictly's first deaf contestant to participate in the show. Fans have loved Rose's performances but have also loved her interactions with Giovanni and the inclusive conversations her participation has raised.

A teacher commented on Giovanni's post about sign language and said, "Thanks to you and Rose, my Year 3 class have really taken an interest in signing, so we learn new words every day. The highlight of their week is watching your performance on a Monday during their lunchtime! We love you and are supporting you all the way."

Another fan commented, "It is awesome I think the more people who want to learn sign language the better! It’s a great skill to have. I absolutely love and adore you & Rose Ayling Ellis on Strictly she’s just become the most beautiful dancer, you should be so proud Gio #TeamRioToWin."

Giovanni has made it clear that his partner's deafness will not hold them back in this competition as he has been praised for learning sign language and ensuring that they can communicate effectively during rehearsals.

However, their success has not been without their challenges. Previously, Rose and Giovanni made a plea to the NHS together after Rose's hearing aid broke after a sweaty rehearsal.

Despite this hiccough, the Eastenders actress is tipped to win the competition and the couple received the perfect score after their performance on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Strictly Come Dancing announced that this score was, "the first 40 of the series for Rose and Gio and the earliest 40 ever in the history of #Strictly! Giovanni is STILL the King of #Halloween."

Giovanni was delighted with this result and took to Instagram to thank his 'inspirational' partner. "One of the most rewarding moments of my career… and is all down to you Rose! You are an inspiration.. a superstar! I know I can be a lizard sometimes ( most of the time 🙄) but I am very proud of us!!"

"No matter what the scores are, we both know how much we work in the studio every day to achieve those performances !! Hard work always pays off!!! ❣️💪🏻 grateful, honored and privileged to be your Strictly partner!" said Giovanni.

Rose said on her own Instagram, "I am still speechless from last night. What just happened?? I am so so so proud of us. Giovanni is the most hard-working, passionate, caring person ever who really believes in me. He really does bring out the best in me and a lot of credit goes to him for creating this amazing routine. The earliest 40 strictly ever had. WE MADE HISTORY! 💕💕"

Series 19 of Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One.
