Louise Redknapp has opened up about her split from Jamie Redknapp and has suggested that Strictly come Dancing might have played a part in the couple’s divorce in 2017.
Louise Redknapp has recently opened up about the part that Strictly Come Dancing played in the demise of her relationship with Jamie Redknapp. She revealed that she thinks that her marriage would have survived if she had been on the show just a few years earlier.
In her new book, 'You’ve Got This', Louise said, "If I'd done the show four years earlier, this wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't have walked away from my marriage."

She revealed that taking part in Strictly, “simply wasn't worth putting anyone I loved or love through the heartache".
Louise was on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 and she was partnered with Kevin Clifton. Soon after she starred on this show, her marriage with Jamie Redknapp came to an end.
Louise and Jamie married in 1998 and were together for nearly twenty years until they finalised their divorce in December 2017. Jamie and Louise share two sons together, Charley who is aged 16, and Beau who is 12.
In the book, Louise also stated, “I still wish I'd done things differently because I feel like I hurt a lot of people and I'll always be sorry for that."
Fans are loving Louise's brutal honesty in this new book. One fan said, “Just finished it. It was a brilliant read. You really are an inspiration, and as the title said, you've got this!” Another fan said, “It's amazing, such a great read!”
Fans are also excited for the next chapter in Louise's life. While her husband Jamie has found love again with Swedish model Frida Andersson, a source close to Louise has recently revealed that she too is ready to love again.
A source told Heat that Louise is ready to start dating again since her divorce. "She’s serious about moving on, and has said that clearing all that toxic energy from the past has made her realise she could see herself getting married again. She’d like another chance at getting her happy ending,” they said.
The source also revealed that Louise’s attitude about dating has changed since she has released this book. The source said, "Since releasing her book, her energy has completely shifted. She doesn’t want to be forever defined by her failed marriage, or seem as though she can’t let go of the past.”
