Did Yellowstone win a SAG award is the question on everyone's lips? 

Unfortunately, the western drama lost in the outstanding ensemble in a drama series category to the cast of Succession. That being said, the show, which airs on the Paramount Network, was just renewed for a fifth season, which will be split into two installments of seven episodes each.

The show's star, Kevin Costner, 67, attended the SAG awards alongside wife Christine Baumgartner, 47, in the hopes of snagging a trophy. Although the cast fell short of a win—they were up against Succession, The Handmaid's Tale, The Morning Show and Squid Games—they certainly have a lot of other reasons to celebrate.

Production on season 5 of the show has already been scheduled to start in May and fans are also excited about the show's various spinoff series, including 1883, which just wrapped up its first and only season. Two more spinoffs are in the works: 6666, focusing on ranch hand Jimmy, and 1932, which will take watchers through the Prohibition and Great Depression eras, also delving into the Dutton family lineage.

The original franchise, Yellowstone first premiered in 2018 and follows the life and tribulations of the Dutton family. Kevin stars as John Dutton, the family's patriarch in control of the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. According to the show's official description, John "operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions." The show also touches upon the development of the very first national park in America, conflicts involving an Indian reservation, and a whole lot of other drama.

Funnily enough, Kevin actually owns a 160-acre ranch in Aspen, Colorado in real life. Complete with a lake and a river house, the destination also features an ice rink, a baseball field, and an ice rink.
