Not black, not brown, Nigella Lawson's pink Birkenstocks are a stylish way to add colour to outfits this season

And you can buy them right now

Nigella Lawson was spotted at the beginning of August wearing a playfully pink pair of Birkenstocks – adding a contender to my shoe wishlist. And this practical design suddenly feels a whole lot more directional when paired with one of the best jumpsuits.

The chef and author, who was recently announced as the newest judge on The Great British Bake Off, styled a smart black jumpsuit with Birkenstock Gizehs in pale pink. The soft shade feels fresh and feminine, so if you're considering which Birkenstocks to invest in, I'd be very tempted by this pair.

Plus, the Gizeh silhouette – known for its toe-post design – has to be one of the most iconic Birkenstock silhouettes to date, with its origins dating back to the eighties. A firm yes, if you're wondering if these Birkenstock sandals are comfortable; Nigella wears hers with the Marie Black Cupro Jumpsuit from Finery London.

So, if you've been searching for great sandals that you can actually build outfits around, Nigella's pink Birkenstocks are a standout choice. The Gizeh's easy-to-wear design and supportive footbed make them practical too. Plus, this design is definitely making a resurgence; Julia Roberts was spotted in a silver pair just last week.

And whilst they will work with bright summer staples, Nigella's outfit shows that they can work with autumn outfit ideas too. A pale pink sandal will instantly brighten darker neutrals, and it complements jeans perfectly.
