Lisa Faulkner just shared the clever hair accessory she uses to cover up her roots - and the Duchess of Cambridge wears them too
If it's good enough for Lisa and the Duchess...
If you’re not someone who embraces their natural hair colour, it’s likely that lockdown life has left your locks looking in need of a trip to the hair dressers.
Not to worry, though. Every coloured-haired lady in the land is suffering from the same issue – including some of our favourite celebs.
Luckily, former soap star and food fanatic Lisa Faulkner has shared a cheap, easy and super smart trick to cover up discoloured hair growth.
Taking to Instagram, the popular telly face, who is married to MasterChef judge John Torode, explained the hair hack to her 250,000 followers.
Snapping a selfie in the mirror and posting it on her story, Lisa explained that she’s taken to wearing thick head bands to cover the dark roots that are gradually taking over her blonde barnet.
‘Headband attempting to hide my roots’ she wrote, alongside some laughing emojis.
With the on going coronavirus pandemic meaning beauty salons set to be closed until July at the earliest, we’re very grateful for this little nugget of advice.

This comes after Lisa and hubby John confirmed that their popular show John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen is making a return.
The loved up pair, who tied the knot last year, took to Instagram last week to confirm the programme has given the go ahead for another series.
“So we have some exciting news, our Weekend Kitchen has been re-commissioned,” Lisa excitedly told her followers in a chirpy video.
John chipped in, “John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen is back and it will be on Saturday mornings and it will be showing on ITV in the early part of the summer, but of course we’ve got to film it don’t we?”
The pair went on to explain that in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the show will be shot with social distancing in mind.
“So we’re going to be filming it next week, social distancing, and everything sorted,” Lisa, who met John on the set of Celebrity MasterChef when she was a contestant back in 2010, said.
