Skincare sales unsurprisingly are still on the up but it seems we've not broken up with our makeup completely if the popularity of the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is anything to go by.
According to the spending experts money.co.uk, who analyzed search data for over 65,000 products on Boots.com, Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay, Nars was not only crowned the best foundation but the UK's favorite makeup product with over 87,100 Google searches in 2020 alone.
And it's not hard to see why. Available in 40 shades, it's a sheer coverage foundation that goes on gossamer fine and gives skin a next-to-natural gleam. It can be built up to even out skin tone and the oil-free formula means it's even suitable for those prone to acne or a midday shiny T-zone.
On the skincare front, the top performing product was Pixi's Glow Tonic with over 253,900 searches. Formulated with 5% glycolic acid, it exfoliates, brightens and smoothes while aloe vera gets to work hydrating skin.
The upshot is, dull skin has clearly been the biggest bugbear of quarantine. Together, these beauties pack a pretty powerful glow-giving punch.
