Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, might not attend the unveiling of a memorial statue of Princess Diana alongside Prince William next month, a royal expert has suggested.

Kate Middleton might not accompany Prince William to the unveiling of a memorial statue of Princess Diana next month, according to a royal expert who has suggested he and Prince Harry could “cut solo figures” at this poignant occasion.

Following the recent birth of her daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana, many royal fans might be wondering whether or not Meghan Markle will travel to the UK to support Prince Harry for the statue unveiling.

Though it's been speculated that Meghan would wish to attend alongside him, others believe that the Duchess of Sussex will instead remain in the US looking after newborn Lili and 2-year-old Archie.

Whether or not she chooses to make the trip over, however, it’s been reported that Prince William and Prince Harry will “put on a good show” at this Princess Diana tribute, despite their alleged “feud”.

Now it’s been suggested by royal expert Camilla Tominey that it's not just Meghan who might not attend. Camilla has shared how she thinks that Kate Middleton may also stay behind with her children—and it could possibly help to bring about something very significant.

As reported by Express.co.uk, Camilla has discussed her belief that neither of the princes’ families might end up being there, allowing them to spend time together as brothers.

“We've never really been told that family is going to be included in this thing, we know this is the reunion for the brothers on what would have been Diana's 60th birthday on 1st July,” Camilla is said to have revealed.

“Never any suggestions that the Cambridges would attend along with Prince William and equally, that Meghan and the children would attend with Harry.”

Instead, Camilla expressed her opinion that the unveiling could likely go ahead with just Prince William and Prince Harry.

“I think we may just see them cut solo figures without their families around them,” she explained.

“All eyes will be on the brothers of course, because everyone's hoping there may be some kind of reconciliation at what is going to be a hugely poignant and significant moment for them, remembering their late mother.”

Nothing has been confirmed regarding whether Kate Middleton will attend the unveiling or not. However, Camilla has suggested that if Prince William and Prince Harry attend “solo”, they will instead be left with “all eyes on them”, focusing on remembering their mother together.

This could be made all the more important, as some people hope having this precious time as brothers could potentially lead to a “reconciliation” between them.

Prince William and Prince Harry have been surrounded by rumors of a so-called “rift” in recent months, after the Sussexes’ shocking Oprah interview was aired. This saw Prince Harry describe Prince Charles and Prince William as “trapped” in the institution—something some have claimed is not his “place to say”

Prince Harry also claimed Prince Charles stopped answering his phone calls after he and Meghan revealed their intention to “step back” as senior members of the Royal Family

The statue unveiling will be the first time the brothers have reunited in person since Prince Philip’s funeral in April. On 1st July, as they mark what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday, Prince William and Prince Harry are likely to be an incredible source of support for one another.
