Sophie Wessex praised as an ‘asset’ to Royal Family after revealing impressive language skills
The Countess of Wessex showed off her talents at a special Valentine's Day-themed event
Sophie Wessex has been hailed as a credit to the Royal Family, after showcasing her impressive language skills at a Valentine's Day event.
- Sophie Wessex has been praised once again as an asset to the Queen after impressing royal fans at an event.
- The Countess spent Valentine's Day at a children's hospice last week, where she demonstrated her impressive language skills during a special singalong.
- In other royal news, Duchess Camilla's four-letter nickname for Meghan Markle revealed as Sussexes remain silent on Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
All You Need Is Love—and if it's from Sophie Wessex, even better.
The Countess visited the Shooting Star House in Hampton for an early celebration of Valentine's Day, and some fun-filled activities with a group of important young people. The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Duchess Camilla has tested positive for Covid, just a few days after Prince Charles was confirmed to also have the virus.
Sophie was all smiles as she met with children and their families at the Southern England hospice, of which she also happens to be patron, spreading wholesome love and enjoying heart-themed arts and crafts.
The 57-year-old also joined in on a special singalong of the 1967 Beatles classic, All You Need Is Love. In the adapted version of the song, Sophie can be seen using Makaton, a language that combines signs, speech, and symbols to allow people to communicate, with her hands.

Royal fans were quick to commend the Countess, who has long been considered to be one of the Queen's favorite relatives, for her ongoing commitment to public service.
"Sophie is such a quite [sic] achiever. Just goes about doing what she does with no fanfare. She's a real credit to the royal family," one Instagram user wrote.

"It would be such a loss if the Earl and Countess were not kept on as ambassadors. They carry out such important visits. They are an asset to the Royal Family," another person commented.
Sophie became the royal patron to Shooting Star—which has two purpose-built hospices—back in 2002, and has passionately supported the charity with fundraisers and engagements over the past two decades.
