Princess Beatrice made an unexpected appearance at Wimbledon 2021 alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The Princess and Edoardo watched the tennis on July 8, marking the first time Edoardo has attended Wimbledon alongside his wife.
Princess Beatrice chose a stunning black and white polka dot dress by Self Portrait for the occasion, featuring structured puff sleeves and a flattering square neckline.
And whilst the statement dress was a wonderfully elegant choice for the royal, it was the happiness evident in her smile as she displayed her growing baby bump that made this beautiful outfit really shine.
Polka dots are big news this summer and have never looked better. Self Portrait's smock style dress features a flattering square neckline and short puff sleeves.
The Princess was pictured cheering on the players, as well as gently holding her bump as she stood in the Wimbledon Royal Box. This was one of the first times royal fans have caught a glimpse of her bump since Princess Beatrice announced she was pregnant in a heart-warming post back on May 19.
The official statement read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year."
It later shared that the wider family were aware and were excited to welcome the new arrival, declaring, “The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."
Princess Beatrice’s baby will change the royal line of succession when born and will be the Queen’s twelfth great-grandchild.
The new arrival will be the Princess’ first child and Edoardo’s second as he is already a proud father to son Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Mapelli Mozzi. As a member of an Italian noble family, Edoardo’s child with Princess Beatrice will have a title, though it’s expected that, as with Princess Eugenie’s son August, the new baby will not be granted a British royal style or title.
As the happy couple looks forward to welcoming their little one in the fall, it’s wonderful to see Princess Beatrice looking so radiant in her recent appearance.
