Prince William has revealed Prince George's latest hobby during a recent royal engagement, but it looks like there are strict rules on how he enjoys it.

Prince William has shared an update on Prince George's favorite pastimes, revealing that the eight-year-old is now "fascinated" by video games.

The Duke of Cambridge spoke candidly about his eldest son during his visit to the BAFTAs headquarters in London on Thursday, where he was introduced to several recipients of bursaries that support individuals hoping to pursue a creative career.

The exciting subject of George's interests surfaced in a conversation between Prince William and Harry Petch, who was crowned the BAFTA Young Game Designer Mentor winner last year. The talented 20-year-old asked the Duke about his children's experience with video games, only to discover it's quite a hot topic at their home in Kensington Palace

William, who has been honest about his own love of the Playstation in the past, explained that while Prince George is "fascinated" by video games, he's not allowed to play them endlessly.

"At the moment it's trying to regulate the gaming," the 39-year-old admitted as Harry demonstrated his developmental mental game, Net Carbon. "We watch their screen time. Got to be careful of that."

He added that Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince George, 3, "are a bit too small" to appreciate video games but "love the films."

Despite his concerns over the risks of excessive gaming, the Duke was more than happy to give Harry's impressive software a quick go. He played the environmental-themed game, which was unveiled at the COP26 summit last year, for a short time, before wishing the student luck with his future endeavors.

This isn't the first time that the future King has revealed how important technology is to the Cambridge children. In December, Prince William confessed that there's a "massive fight" between Prince George and Princess Charlotte every morning over song choices—with the ructions often requiring the busy father to play mediator between the stubborn pair.
