Prince Harry discusses his devotion to his grandmother the Queen and his need to know she's 'protected and got the right people around her' in a new TV interview, set to air on NBC.

Shortly after Prince Harry broke his silence on a secret visit to the Queen, it was revealed that he recorded a brand new TV interview, set to air on the US channel NBC.

Speaking to the TODAY show's Hoda Kotb, he discussed his visit to see Her Majesty, alongside his wife Meghan Markle. He said the Queen is in, 'great form,' after her difficult bout of COVID-19.

Harry and Meghan visited the Queen and Prince Charles in a low-key trip to Windsor Castle, ahead of attending the Invictus Games. “Being with her, it was great,” he said. "It was nice to see her, you know.”

He explained, “Both Meghan and I had tea with her, so it was really nice to catch up with her.”

Although Her Majesty is often seen as being very somber in public, she's also known for her wicked sense of humor. From the Queen's surprising party trick to a recent incident when the Queen left hospital staff laughing with her witty banter, it's clear she's a hoot. However, her most cherished times are clearly with her beloved family, especially Prince Harry.

“She’s always got a great sense of humor with me,” he said wryly.

It wasn't all jokes for the royal, who revealed there was more to his visit than just a laugh. "I’m just making sure that she’s protected," he said, "and got the right people around her.

He also revealed that for now, he considers the US his home. He said, “Home for me now, for the time being, is in the States and it feels that way. We’ve been welcomed with open arms and have such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”
