Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, although the couple are expected to miss out on some of the more major festivities.

It was previously reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been axed from the royal balcony wave to show a 'slimmed-down monarchy.' However, now it has been reported that the Duke and Duchess have been invited to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony and will show a united front for the Royal Family.
The Telegraph reported, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations but can have no formal role, it is understood."
Their informal role will mean that the royal couple will not appear at the Trooping of Color, but will appear at family events such as the service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, which will be attended by various members of the Royal Family.
While Prince Harry and Meghan will be making a few appearances at the celebrations, the Queen herself has been suffering from a lack of mobility and may be taking a step back from some of these events.
This means that younger members of the Royal Family such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, will be stepping in for certain events in place of Her Majesty.
Although the Queen's scaled-back Platinum Jubilee appearances has left royal aides 'worried,' there are still a number of events that the Queen is expected to attend.
In celebration of the Queen's 70 years on the throne, there will be a Platinum Jubilee concert, plus a four-day bank holiday weekend so that the festivities can be celebrated throughout the UK.
The celebration will also focus heavily on Her Majesty and there will be a number of different events that celebrate the Queen's unique reign. The Queen's love of Corgi dogs will be honored with a special event ahead of Platinum Jubilee and the Queen's surprising teenage job to be honored with a 'classic car run'.
