Prince George fans believe the young royal could hold the key to England’s victory in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday after recent Wembley appearance.
- Prince George might only be seven years old, but the future king has fans convinced he’s a “lucky charm" for England’s football team.
- Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son accompanied them to a recent England match and now the team will face Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
- This royal news comes as Prince Charles was praised for 'working so hard' as he tries his hand at age-old skill.
Prince George excited royal and football fans alike when he made a surprise appearance to watch England vs Germany at Wembley last week. Accompanying his father Prince William, who is the current President of the FA, and mother Kate Middleton, the seven-year-old future king cheered on England’s players as they achieved victory. Whilst Prince George’s Euros outfit of a smart suit and tie left some royal fans baffled, others thought he looked absolutely adorable matching his father.
Since the trio attended this important match, England has progressed to reach their first major final for 55 years, after beating Denmark on July 7. Taking to Twitter to express their delight at this brilliant news, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official account posted a congratulatory message ahead of the most important match of all.
The post declared, ‘What a game, what a result! A huge team effort @England. The whole country will be behind you on Sunday #ItsComingHome’.

Many people will be already eagerly finding out how to watch England vs Italy in the Euros final and it seems multiple football watchers are convinced that little Prince George could help swing things if he ends up attending the final. Taking to the comments, several people described him as “lucky”, following his attendance at England’s winning match against Germany.
‘Please can we have this young man at the final Dad?’ one fan wrote alongside a sweet snap of the young royal from his recent Wembley appearance.

Prince George certainly seemed to be having fun as he, Prince William and Kate saw England win last week. The Duke of Cambridge made another appearance this week at England’s semi-final match and it’s expected that he will be cheering the team on at Wembley this Sunday. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge is currently isolating after coming into contact with someone with Covid-19.
It’s not yet known whether Prince George might accompany his father to the Euros 2020 final. Though given that Prince William has attended recent matches in his capacity as FA President, it might be that for this very significant occasion, George will instead be watching from home whilst the Duke carries out his official duties.
Whilst football fans sadly might not get to see Prince George return to Wembley Stadium for the final, he will likely be hoping to see another victory too!
