Prince Charles and Camilla stunned by the vast amount of flowers left in memory of Prince Philip
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall just visited the flowers left for the Duke of Edinburgh by mourners
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have visited the flowers that have been left for Prince Philip by mourners and both appeared shocked by the huge number of bouquets.
• Prince Philip sadly passed away on Friday 9th April 2021 at the age of 99.
• Prince Charles and Camilla have visited the flowers left by mourners at Marlborough House Gardens.
• In other Royal news, Prince Philip was still ‘fascinated’ and ‘charmed’ by the Queen after 72 years of marriage
The Clarence house Instagram posted a variety of images of Prince Philip’s son, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, visiting the flowers left by the public in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh. In the Instagram post, the Royal couple both looked visibly shocked by the vast amount of flowers that had been left by the public.
The caption of the post read, “At Marlborough House Gardens today, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall viewed a selection of flowers that have been left by members of the public in memory of The Duke of Edinburgh.”
The post explained that the flowers left in London by mourners have been relocated to Marlborough House. The post read, “During this period of National Mourning, flowers and condolence messages from outside Buckingham Palace and within @theroyalparks have been moved to the private gardens at Marlborough House.”

The Royal Instagram account then recommended that mourners could make a donation to a charity in lieu of leaving more flowers. “Members of the public may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, and an online Book of Condolence can be found on royal.uk, through the link in our bio," read the caption.

Fans of the Royal family have been equally surprised by the enormous amount of flowers that have been left in the Duke’s memory. One fan commented, “Wow how beautiful! What a lovely tribute to an amazing leader.” Another said, "Oh my heart...What a beautiful and dignified tribute... I feel like I wanna hug them."
This is not the first tribute that Prince Charles has publically made for his late father on social media. Prince Charles broke his silence on 'dear papa' Prince Philip in heartfelt speech that was posted on Instagram. The Clarence House Instagram has also been used as a platform to share a variety of images of Prince Charles and his father the Duke of Edinburgh in an effort to pay tribute to the Prince's life.
