Prince Charles and Camilla set ‘important sign’ amid terrifying Ukraine crisis as fans rush to support them—‘their tears are ours’
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visited the Ukraine Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family at this ‘most critical of times’.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla set an “important sign” amid the terrifying crisis in Ukraine as they issued a new message at this most “critical of times”.
- The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s thoughts were with the Ukrainian community as they visited the Ukraine Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family.
- Prince Charles shared a new message and fans were quick to support the couple’s “important sign”.
- This royal news comes as a never-seen-before photo of Princess Diana was unveiled ahead of special honor at Kate and William's home.
As so many people around the world wonder how to help the people of Ukraine following the Russian military invasion, many members of the Royal Family have condemned their actions as this humanitarian crisis intensifies. Prince Harry and Meghan issued a message to the people of Ukraine as the first royals to speak out amid the crisis.
Since then, Prince William and Kate have shared a statement declaring they “stand with” President Zelenskyy and Ukraine’s people as they “bravely fight” for the country’s future. Whilst Prince Charles condemned Russia’s invasion in a rare political statement.
Now Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have shown their support for the Ukrainian community at this terrible time. The couple set an “important sign” during their recent outing to London’s Ukraine Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family on March 2nd.

Sharing a video and multiple photos of their visit with fans on their Clarence House official accounts, the future King and Queen Consort were joined by Ukrainian Ambassador Vadym Prystaiko. Together they lit candles at the altar inside the Cathedral and laid sunflowers, the national flower of Ukraine, upon it and their huge emotion was clear.
During their visit, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall also met with guests including leaders within the Ukrainian community and volunteers who’re helping the humanitarian effort.
Alongside the video and pictures released from the day, the Prince of Wales issued a new poignant message, declaring, “Our thoughts and prayers, however inadequate they may be, are with all of you at this most critical of times.”
These powerful words and the couple’s support has not gone unnoticed by fans, with one powerfully responding, “I have no words... their tears are ours 😭😭😭 I'm so glad they set this very important sign today... ❤️❤️❤️”.
Another declared that “Prayers are never inadequate!” as they shared their belief that it’s one of the “most powerful things we can do to help our world heal.❤️❤️”.
“Praying for the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦 ❤️❤️❤️” someone else commented, echoing the senior royals’ actions.
Many more responded with similar sentiments, and yet more still with two heart emojis, one blue, one yellow, representing the flag of Ukraine.
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s visit and message comes just a week after the Ukrainian First Lady spoke out from a secret location where she is with her and the President Zelenskyy children. Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska delivered a message of hope to the people of Ukraine on social media on February 25.
“You are incredible. I am proud to live with you and in the same country," she powerfully declared.
