It seems the all of the royal family have nicknames for each other, and Mike Tindall is no exception.

Podcast host Alex Payne asked Mike Tindall if he would rather marry a royal or win the World Cup, which is a very difficult question considering he’s done both!

Mike responded saying, “Well I’ve done both technically.”

He then added, “Well hang on, will it be my wife that I’m marrying?”

Alex clarified the question, saying, “Yeah would you rather marry Zoey or win the World Cup?” with Mike replying, “Could we take Zoey out of it? Cause obviously if it’s my wife I would marry my wife.”

Mike’s sweet response received some ‘awws’ from the panel, with Alex joking, "Correct answer". We agree!

This is the first time we’ve seen Mike refer to wife Zara as ‘Zoey’, and it might come as a surprise to some of you considering many of the royals favour pet names for their loved ones.

Recently, Princess Eugenie’s secret nickname for Princess Beatrice was revealed via a heartfelt post on her Instagram account. We love it!

Earlier this month, Mike Tindall also joined Instagram where he shared some previously unseen photos of Zara during a clay-shooting event.

He now has 16.5k followers on the platform with plenty of people eager to see what he gets up to next.

Most members of the Royal Family have official Instagram accounts for royal engagements and updates, such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s account Kensington Royal.

But Mike Tindall has joined Princess Eugenie in having an independent account, and hopefully we’ll be able to see more updates from his family on there in the near future.

The couple have been married since 2011 and have two daughters, Mia and Lena Tindall.
