Meghan Markle has decided not to mark her second child's arrival with a baby shower for a very thoughtful reason.
• In light of recent events, Meghan Markle has decided it is not the appropriate time for a baby shower.
• Royal experts told US Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex believes she'd rather focus her efforts on preparing for her new baby and tending to her humanitarian projects.
Meghan Markle is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her little girl, but she has decided now is not the appropriate time to share that excitement with others.
Although she had an elegant, star-studded shower ahead of Archie's birth in 2019, she believes the timing and current circumstances make gatherings and celebrations inappropriate. In light of Meghan's recent undertakings—including Archewell Foundation and Procter & Gamble's partnership—the duchess will be focusing on her work until her little one arrives later this summer.
The world has its eyes on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now that a due date is inching closer, though an exact date was never revealed. In addition to predicting names for Meghan and Harry's daughter, people are beginning to suspect the little one will be a unifier for the royal family. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that a new baby will heal any wounds in response to the Oprah tell-all and, ultimately, Harry and Meghan's decision to leave their royal duties.
Reportedly, Meghan and Harry planned an at-home birth with the help of midwives. Meghan gave birth to her son Archie in 2019 at London's private Portland Hospital, after her original plans to do so at Frogmore Cottage didn't come to fruition. Their daughter is expected to receive this royal title once she's born.
Despite any tension, undertakings, or circumstances, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex above all are anxious to welcome a little girl into their lives.
