The Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William made a special visit to support NHS workers last week as the coronavirus outbreak continued to spread throughout the country.
And amid the UK’s currently struggling retail industry, the Duchess highlighted British brand Marks & Spencer as she stepped out in one of their chic two-pieces.
In other royal news, the Duchess of York spoke out in a sweet tribute to support NHS staff amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Duchess Catherine stepped out in a chic Marks & Spencer outfit last week as she and Prince William visited NHS workers to support them amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duchess looked chic and stylish in a lovely dark rose two-piece from the high-street giant, which she paired with grey BOSS pumps and a simple cream top.

The wool outfit has been quickly snapped up from the department store, but there are still a few sizes left for anyone who wants to get their hands on it!

And now a royal expert has revealed the hidden message behind the Duchess's poignant outfit choice.

"I love the fact that Kate was wearing a pink Marks and Spencer suit," said royal commentator Angela Mollard to the ROYALS podcast.

"It was absolutely gorgeous, but I love the fact it wasn't designer. It just said 'I am one of you'.

"She can afford to wear anything she likes but I love the fact that it was normal," continued Angela.

"A Marks and Spencer suit is what women in London really wear to work.

"She was effectively doing that."

Speaking about their touching visit to NHS workers last week, Prince William wrote on Instagram, ‘Catherine and I were proud to visit staff working at NHS 111, to pass on our personal thanks, along with those of my grandmother and father, to staff working around the clock to provide care and advice to those that need it most.

‘The last few weeks, and more recent days have been understandably concerning with the continuing spread of coronavirus,’ continued the Duke.

‘But it’s at times like this when we realise just how much the NHS represents the very best of our country and society – people from all backgrounds and walks of life with different experiences and skills, pulling together for the common good.

‘Not only are NHS staff and emergency workers responding to the needs of the public, they – like the rest of us – are concerned about their families, friends and loved ones.

‘They need our support as much as we need theirs,’ the royal went on. ‘All of us have a part to play if we’re going to protect the most vulnerable’.

The Prince then appealed to the public to avoid contact with others as much as possible, adding, ‘That means acting on the latest expert advice, staying home if we or those we live with have symptoms, and avoiding non-essential contact to help reduce the spread of the virus’.
