How you doin', Friends fans? It's time to get excited: the beloved reunion special you've been waiting for is right around the corner.

In a well-received Instagram post—three million likes, anyone?—the Friends TV show account revealed that the highly-anticipated special has just finished taping. It will air on HBO Max later this year, although a date has yet to be confirmed. The production had been delayed due to COVID-19, but we're now in business. (Unlike Ross and Rachel, there are no more breaks to account for.)

The show last aired in 2004 but has lived on with many a Netflix binge ever since. It'd be great to fast forward to see what the group of six is like nowadays, but fans shouldn't expect a new episode 17 years later.

"In order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters," a statement from HBO Max read, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

• The best eye cream at every price point

The cast has been teasing us with some tidbits of what to expect—Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green) said the delay allowed for even more fun and creativity while David Schwimmer (Ross Gellar) suggested that there just might be a part in the unscripted special where they read lines. (So perhaps the characters are coming back—albeit briefly.)

Naturally, we'll be sure to keep you posted as more details emerge. In the meantime, stock up on Ulta's latest beauty sensation: Friends makeup. Revolution Beauty's third round of goodies inspired by the cult classic TV show has just been released, and it includes new eyeshadow palettes, glosses, sponges, and even Joey's Ichiban lipstick for men that he modeled in a commercial.

We'll be sitting in the sheet masks with the Rachel to our Monica, pampering ourselves until the special makes its way to our screens!
