Like some of Angelina Jolie's six children, Sandra has opted for adoption when it comes to parenthood. The star has two children, a son, and a daughter, who she adopted as a single parent. Her son Louis Bardo Bullock is 12 years old and was born in New Orleans in January 2010.

Sandra planned to adopt her son with her ex-husband Jesse James, but after the pair split and divorced, Sandra continued the adoption as a solo parent. Louis was adopted by the Hollywood actress when he was just 3 months old after the actress saw the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina and felt that her son was there.

Sandra told Today, "Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I knew. Like, just something told me that my child was there. It was weird. It was very, very weird."

Like Louis, Sandra's daughter Laila Bullock was also adopted in Louisiana. The youngster was born in 2012 and is now 10 years old, she was adopted by Sandra in 2015 after spending the first three years of her life in foster care.
