Rylan Clark Neal gets second series of Ready, Steady Cook on BBC One

Fancy being a contestant on the next series of the cookery show?

Ready, Steady Cook is returning for a second series with host Rylan Clark-Neal who is looking for contestants to join him in the kitchen.

The TV star, took over the reigns for the reboot in March - after the show was given a 10 year break - and the new series has gone down so well, it's back and it's induction pans at the ready.

Rylan shared a tweet with the announcement which read, "Ready Steady Cook@RSCookTV returns for a second series on @BBCOne and host @Rylan is back in the kitchen. YOU could join our amazing chefs @mikereidchef@romygill_@A_petretzikis@ellisbarriebros and @Anahaugh - dynamic competing pairs wanted!"

The production company, Remarkable Television, which is part of Endemol Shine Group, is looking for pairs, be they relatives, friends, or colleagues to compete against each other and hopefully learn some new culinary skills.

Each contestant has their ingredients and has to make something in a race against the clock, with the audience voting for their favourite dish.

The TV cooking game show made its debut on 24 October 1994 and the last original edition was broadcast on 2 February 2010. The programme was originally hosted by Fern Britton from 1994 until 2000 when celebrity chefAinsley Harriott became the new host.

And now Rylan is at the helm, the show appears to be back and suiting everyone's taste.
