Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has opened up about her sisters’ double cancer diagnosis.

Coleen Nolan took to her Twitter account to speak out in support of her sisters Linda and Anne, after it was revealed that the pair have both been battling with cancer together.

A tweet from the Nolan sisters’ joint account confirmed the devastating news on Sunday, as alongside the snap of the pair, the family wrote, ‘For the past few months during lockdown, Linda and Anne have been battling cancer & chemotherapy together’.

Revealing that the two sisters will be opening up about their joint experience in today’s edition of the Sun newspaper, they went on to add, ‘We will get through this together, as a family❤️’.

Following the announcement, Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan took to her own Twitter account to speak out in support of her two sisters, with whom she rose to fame back in the late 70’s as part of Irish pop group The Nolans.

They’ve beaten it before - they can beat it again❤️,’ she wrote alongside a snippet of the sister’s interview.

‘Please keep them in your thoughts and well wishes X’.

The sisters, who explained that they have been undergoing chemotherapy together in Blackpool, revealed that they received their diagnoses within days of each other.

Speaking about the moment they broke the news to the rest of their family, Linda, who has incurable cancer in her liver after previously suffering from breast cancer, cellulitis and lymphoedema in her arm and secondary cancer on her pelvis in the past, told the Sun, “We laughed and we cried really. It’s hysterical”.

“It’s just really hard and I’m scared of dying. I don’t want to die,” she added.

“I want to be around and see my great nieces and nephews grow up, and that’s why I’m putting everything I’ve got into trying to get well”.

Eldest Nolan sister Anne, who has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, which she has battled once in the past, emotionally echoed her sister, adding, “I don’t want to die.

“I love my life so much. I love my daughters, my grandchildren, my friends, all my family.

“I want to live for as long as I possibly can”.
