Lady Gaga and Liza Minnelli were a united front at the Oscars as the A Star is Born Actress helped the Broadway legend present the Best Picture Award.

The Oscars 2022 took place on Sunday, March 27, and there were a number of disastrous moments that caught the attention of viewers. However, there was one adorable moment between Lady Gaga and Liza Minnelli that moved fans as the House of Gucci star supported the Caberet actress on stage.

Appearing in a wheelchair to host the awards, Liza Minnelli was enthusiastic but a little confused as she and Lady Gaga presented the Academy Award for Best Picture.

As they appeared on stage, Liza was at first frustrated by her prompt cards, then again by the teleprompter. Despite this confusion, Lady Gaga made sure to support the actress as she spoke about Liza's incredible career and mentioned her Oscar awards as well as the 50th anniversary of Cabaret all the while clutching onto the actress' hand.

When the star became a little confused about the order of their presentation, Lady Gaga reassured Liza and told her 'I got you,' to which Liza replied, 'I know.' The emotional exchange between the pair was obvious and fans were left in tears after seeing the kindness shared between the two women on stage.

"In a night where everyone will, unfortunately, remember the worst of this year's Oscars, try to remember that on a hot mic, Lady Gaga turned to Liza Minnelli and said 'I got you,'" said one viewer on Twitter.

One fan added, "All joking aside, I hope that at some point we can discuss what a class act Lady Gaga is and how well she kept the Best Picture presentation going while still keeping Liza Minelli grounded and included without ever being patronizing or awkward. Just amazing. #Oscars"

"I think Lady Gaga's gentle respect for elderly entertainers is genuine and I think it says a lot about her," said another.

"Lady Gaga leaning down and telling Liza that she’s got her made me cry," said yet another emotional fan.
