If you’re a Friends fan, you’ll be pleased to know that Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have reunited to star in new series, The Morning Show.

The popular actresses first starred together in the hit US show, where Jennifer played Rachel Green - and Reese played her younger sister, Amy.

Their new series together is an Apple TV Original, meaning you’ll only be able to watch it if you have an Apple TV. It’s been commissioned for two seasons (20 episodes in total) and is based on Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, a book by Brian Stelter.

Whilst the full plot for The Morning Show has not yet been revealed, Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram to share a first-look at the new series.

Steve Carell stars alongside the two women, as the teaser trailer pans through the studio and dressing rooms - and sees the three characters dialogue overlapping as they argue about TV news.

“Don’t you ever question my integrity” says Jennifer Aniston’s character. “We are doing this my way.”

While Steve Carell's character shouts in response, “I feel like the people are screaming for an honest conversation”

“I’m just here to deliver the news to America. That’s all I ever wanted to do,’ adds Reese Witherspoon’s character. “I think they want to know the person behind the anchor. They want to trust that the person who is telling them the truth about the world is an honest person.”

Starring alongside the three leads is Black Mirror’s Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Informer’s Bel Powley and Big Mouth voice actor Mark Duplass.

So far that’s all we know, but if this teaser is anything to go by we should expect some intense moments throughout the course of the series. After all, Brian Stelter did describe the industry as ‘cutthroat’.

The series is expected to air in the autumn, so it’s just around the corner. Will you be tuning in?
