FAQs

When does the UGG sale start?

UGGs currently have an outlet sale on their website, but the brand also runs Black Friday deals. Plus, UGGs are stocked on other retailers like Amazon, which regularly have sales and discounted events such as Amazon Prime, which commences 7th-8th October 2025.

Where can I get UGGs on sale?

Multiple retailers offer discounts on UGG boots, from the official UGG website to major stockists like Amazon, Office, Brand Alley, and Nordstrom.

Are UGGs waterproof?

If you are planning on purchasing the brand's 'Classic' boots, which are the soft, slipper-like outdoor boots you'd typically associate with UGG, these are not waterproof, unfortunately. While you can apply a suede waterproof repellent to them, we'd suggest that it's best not to head out in the rain with them on!

However, UGG actually does a full range of waterproof boots, which are ideal if you're planning on lots of outdoor walks this cold season. As with their Classic boots, these come in ankle size and tall size, depending on your personal preference.

Many of these waterproof boots have been designed to be worn in colder conditions, with cushioning insoles and water-repellent coatings, and our fashion team actually rated UGG as one of the best winter boots. So you can rest easy if you want to wear them on a wet and rainy day. They even sell hiking boots if you need a super resilient pair of shoes!

If you do wear your UGGs outside and get caught in bad weather, see our handy guide on how to clean UGGs to keep your shoes stain-free.

Do UGG boots run big or small?

The general consensus seems to be that UGG runs true to size. If your boots or slippers feel a bit snug at first, it's important to remember the shearling lining will flatten a little.

woman&home's Digital Fashion Editor Caroline Parr says: "I'm typically a UK size 3.5, and bought my UGGs in a 4. They've always been supremely comfortable, and sizing up that little bit means I can wear cosy socks with them too."
