Queen’s children step up to host major event in Scotland - and fans are all saying the same thing!

The Queen’s children have stepped up to host a major annual event in Scotland and it’s got fans are all saying the same thing after noticing this significant detail.
- Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince Edward have come together to host a royal garden party during Holyrood Week in Scotland.
- Fans were quick to express their confusion after noticing that there was one senior royal missing from the annual event.
- This royal news comes as Lady Louise finished her exams as news of reduced grades puts university places at risk.
Whilst the Queen might have spent much of the past year at Windsor Castle, the end of June has seen the monarch travel north to her official Scottish residence, the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Each year Her Majesty marks Holyrood Week, known simply as Royal Week in Scotland, which sees her visiting different regions across the county. During the week the achievements, community and culture of Scotland are celebrated and the Queen traditionally hosts thousands of people at the palace in recognition of their hard work.
This year it was announced that the Queen would be pulling out of garden parties for 2022. Instead, three of the Queen’s children - Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince Edward - have stepped up to host the annual party at Holyroodhouse. And after stunning snaps of the day were shared, curious fans were soon asking one particular question…

The Royal Family social media account declared, “☀️Wonderful to welcome so many people to the Palace of Holyroodhouse Garden Party!”
The caption went on to reveal that “thousands of guests” joined Prince Charles, known in Scotland as the Duke of Rothesay, as well as the Earl of Wessex, known there as the Earl of Forfar, and the Princess Royal. And they weren’t alone!
Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Forfar and Princess Anne’s husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence also joined them. But whilst the beautiful snaps of them talking animatedly with guests at the party were praised by many, other fans were left curious about one major absence.
“Isn’t the Duchess of Cornwall there?” one fan asked, seemingly a little confused about why Prince Charles’ wife of 17 years hasn’t accompanied him and his siblings to Edinburgh.
Another seconded this question as they remarked, “Noticing that Cam[i]lla is not in any of the pictures 🤔????”
“Where is the Duchess?” a third person asked, intrigued.
Despite being highest in the royal line of succession, Prince Charles is the only one of the Queen’s three children at the party whose spouse wasn’t there. Unfortunately, it’s not yet known exactly why the Duchess of Cornwall wasn’t at the party or whether she’s set to appear later on in Holyrood Week.
However, Duchess Camilla has only recently returned from her and Prince Charles’ visit to Rwanda which included an incredibly busy schedule. Meanwhile, as a royal patron to so many charities and organizations, it could be that there are other commitments that couldn’t be missed.
So far this year she has already undertaken multiple overseas visits and as the future Queen Consort her responsibilities will only increase in the future. And it’s very touching that fans have noticed her absence and missed her as Holyrood Week continues.
