Princess Beatrice's cheeky quip to photographers at Royal Ascot showed the Queen's granddaughter's sense of humor and her particular way of dealing with the press in a light-hearted manner.
- Princess Beatrice and many other members of the extended Royal Family attended the races at Ascot on Tuesday, June 14.
- Photographers swarmed the Royal Family, but the Princes showed her unique way of dealing with the press.

Royal Ascot was attended by a variety of royals this week. Prince Charles's 'strong bonds of friendship' with royal relatives were displayed at the Ascot races as many members of the family came together and laughed with one another during this more informal event.
Attending the horse races at Ascot with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice looked stunning in a white and pink floral gown from Zimmermann which she accessorized with matching pink accessories.
As she arrived at the races, her status as one of the Queen's grandchildren caught the attention of photographers who immediately began taking snaps of the Princess. Rather than becoming self-conscious or frustrated by this attention, the Princess joked with the paparazzi.
"I'll be here all day," said the Princess to the photographers as she smiled for photographs but gently reminded them that they would have plenty of opportunities during the day to snap her picture.
Princess Beatrice's jovial relationship with the press is quite a stark contrast to other members of the Royal Family who have often struggled with the attention that their place in the royal line of succession has given them.
According to The Mirror (opens in new tab), Prince Harry once physically moved a cameraman who knocked a child on the head with his camera equipment and seemed to get a little too close to a pregnant Meghan Markle. While this gesture was silent and not accompanied by any foul language, the Duke reportedly seemed 'vexed' as he made the cameraman back off.
The late Prince Philip who died age 99 at Windsor Castle reportedly became frustrated during a photocall in 2015. The Duke of Edinburgh swore at the group of cameramen and told them, "Just take the [expletive] picture!" He then repeatedly told the photographers to "Just take it." According to Hello! (opens in new tab) Prince William was stifling his laughter as he watched his grandfather become more and more irate.
It seems that, unlike her grandfather, Princess Beatrice has opted for a much more humorous way of dealing with the press and is able to easily keep them in line at royal engagements.
