Kate Middleton's pink coat has set the bar high for mid-season dressing.
For her first public appearance this year that hasn't been conducted over Zoom, the Duchess of Cambridge chose this bubblegum pink number, a lesson surely in how to take the best winter coat (opens in new tab)and make it trans-seasonal, and matched it to an equally vibrant jumper with a scalloped collar from Boden.
Visiting School21, which opened last week after the easing of lockdown restrictions, she was joined by her husband, Prince William, for their first outing after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah interview (opens in new tab)aired on Sunday night.
Fans were swooning over the Duchess' coat, which we can reveal costs £369 from Max&Co, and is still available to buy online.
Made from pure wool, the Runaway Belted Coat comes in three colour ways aside from pink - china blue, apple yellow and medium grey. With a slightly flowing silhouette, it can be worn loosely or cinched in at the waist with the matching belt as it is buttonless. We can confirm the pink style is available in all sizes, apart from sizes 44 and 48.
While the pink Boden Hambleden Scallop Jumper (opens in new tab) is currently out of stock, the detailed piece of knitwear is still available in green, black, ivory and chartreuse.
Perfectly prepped for a hands-on visit to the school, Middleton paired the flash of pink with wide-legged black trousers (a favourite style from Jigsaw) and pumps so she'd be comfortable leaning down to talk to children in the playground.
