The Duchess of Cambridge nailed Parisian chic at the Top Gun 2: Maverick premiere in London on Thursday evening, gracing the red carpet at Leicester Square alongside Prince William and Tom Cruise in a strapless, black and white dress and simple black pumps. The royal couple's photo-op with the American actor comes just a few days after he delivered a touching speech for A Gallop Through History at Windsor Castle, in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
As per usual, all eyes were on the Duchess as she and William arrived at the iconic movie theatre for a well-deserved date night without their three children, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
Kate accessorized the £2,700 column gown, created by French designer Roland Mouret, with an Alexander McQueen black clutch - oh, and a pair of £10,560 Robinson Pelham's tsar star studs earrings. Kate Middleton's Cher-inspired hair also made a comeback, with the 40-year-old swapping her signature chestnut waves for a pin-straight do.

Prince William's slippers paid tribute to Captain Maverick at the Top Gun 2 premiere
The 39-year-old made a rare statement with his unique footwear, walking the red carpet in a pair of black slippers decorated with a picture of a small plane. The playful loafers are understood to be a nod to the fighter aircraft used by Captain Maverick in the original 1986 film, Top Gun.
