Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge never steps out in anything less than fabulous.
And over the years since she has settled into the royal family her chic ensembles have just got better and better, giving us all the urge to splurge on pretty much everything she wears.
But while the royals do opt for a lot of affordable favourites, some of their choices aren’t the most purse-friendly.

Dressed in a royal blue frock by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, the Duchess wowed fans in the long-sleeved waist-defining fit and flare number.
She paired the elegant dress with a pair of sleek black court shoes and sapphire drop earrings.
But unfortunately for anyone hoping to add this to their wardrobe, this particular buy is a thing of the past and is no longer available.
Plus it is likely to have cost around £1000 like the designer’s other options, so it’s quite an investment.
Luckily, high-street store Marks & Spencer has come to the rescue with their elegant alternative – and it’ll set you back only £35.

The long-sleeved fit and flare dress, which is also available in petite, comes in a striking blue just like the Duchess’s.
And if you love the fit, it’s even available in four other colours.
Though we love the black, dark orange and amber colours as they go for pretty much any occasion, we think our favourite pick has to be the fern green.
The forest-like colour is perfect for winter and paired with gold accessories will make a chic ensemble for any festive occasion.
All hail M&S!
