Catherine Duchess of Cambridge is said to be supporting Princess Charlotte's love of a particular animal and has supposedly adopted a unique family hobby.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has been even busier than usual recently, homeschooling her young children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, alongside caring for her youngest child, Prince Louis, and carrying out royal engagements. Whilst it sounds understandably stressful to balance everything, it seems Duchess Catherine also likes to ensure that her children have time to enjoy getting back to nature.

Speaking to OK! about the Duchess of Cambridge’s approach to home learning, royal expert Katie Nicholl explained, "Kate has been interested in how outdoor learning can benefit children. She got to meet children who had lessons outside and ask how they enjoyed it. She saw the benefit first-hand.”

“Kate is aware of screen time and tries to limit the children being exposed to too much. When the children have a break, she takes them outside, come rain or shine," she continued.

Ms. Nicholl explained: "She wants them to get fresh air and be in nature. She loves to pick vegetables with them in the gardens. If they are learning about rivers or the sea, she and William try to incorporate that into their walks."

And whilst this sounds wonderful for all her children, it seems that all this time outdoors is also allowing Princess Charlotte to pursue a particularly unique new activity.

What is Princess Charlotte’s unique new hobby?

Last year Princess Charlotte shared news of her love of a surprising animal - spiders! The young princess told Sir David Attenborough about how much she likes these eight-legged creatures when the Cambridges took part in a special Q&A with him.

An adorable video of this was later posted on the Kensington Royal Instagram account, much to the delight of royal fans.

And it seems that supportive parents, Duchess Catherine and Prince William, are keen to support their daughter’s interest in spiders, as it’s been claimed that they go on spider hunts.

"Charlotte is a massive fan of spiders and loves looking at them and learning about them,” Katie Nicholl disclosed to OK!. “So they go on spider hunts so that she can see them up close and then let them go."

Who would’ve thought Princess Charlotte would be looking for spiders in lockdown?
