Duchess Camilla brought back her “South West dress" as she teamed up with Fiona Bruce during a special visit to the Eden Project.

This year has seen the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall travel the length and breadth of the UK including their tour of Devon and Cornwall, which typically takes place each summer. Now the future Queen Consort has returned to Cornwall as she visited the Eden Project - and it wasn’t just the plant life she got to see!

The Duchess of Cornwall visited the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow as it welcomed thousands of visitors to this iconic eco attraction on September 6th. And her choice of outfit couldn’t have been more perfect as Duchess Camilla brought back her “South West dress”...

During the Duchess of Cornwall’s tour of Antiques Roadshow she not only met presenter Fiona Bruce, but was also filmed discussing various items from both the royal collection and her private one. These were assessed by the antiques show’s experts, though no value was put on them and Duchess Camilla also took part in a “Guess the Mystery Object” game in the Mediterranean Biome.

Fans will get to enjoy all the highlights of Duchess Camilla’s day at the Roadshow when the programme airs in 2023. This special visit also saw Duchess Camilla make a serious botanical statement in a green shirt dress with an eye-catching leaf-print.

Said to be from the brand Cefinn, it features three quarter length sleeves and a tie waist belt, with the same classic yet elegant look that many of Kate Middleton’s dresses have. Pairing the look simply with a subtle gold necklace, Duchess Camilla looked radiant and it’s not the first time she’s worn this natural-themed look.

The Duchess of Cornwall also wore this beautiful dress during her and Prince Charles’ tour of the South West region earlier this summer to mark his 70th year as Duke of Cornwall.

On a visit to Torquay in Devon in July 2022 where she attended the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s 200th anniversary celebration and visited Cockington Court, Duchess Camilla was pictured in this same green outfit. It seems like this bold botanical look is a firm favorite when she’s in the South West!

For such a memorable occasion it’s perhaps no surprise she chose to bring back her equally unforgettable “South West dress” and the Duchess is reportedly a “huge fan” of Antiques Roadshow.

According to the BBC, Frances Christie, a specialist in modern art on the show, explained, "She was really interested in what we had to show. She said she was a huge fan of the show and she asked lots of questions about the pictures we were looking at."

Meanwhile, like many members of the extended Royal Family, Duchess Camilla has many important patronages and she’s been Patron of the Eden Project’s Big Lunch project since 2013, making this visit even more significant.

With the colder months on their way fans might not get to see Duchess Camilla’s “South West dress" very much again in 2022 but this bold botanical look might well be brought back again next year!
