The question of who left Strictly Come Dancing this week has no doubt been on the minds of fans since the celebrity contestants took on yet another week of the competition. 

After another week of dancing, the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 contestants have tried their best, but once again someone has been eliminated. 

In the first week of the competition, nobody was eliminated as the scores were carried over to week two. In the second week, Kaye Adams and Kai Widdrington were eliminated and were the first contestants to be axed from the show. In the third week, fans said goodbye to Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice. While the fourth week saw Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychklova being eliminated. Week five we said bye to Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer, which was followed by James Bye and Amy Dowden saying farewell to the Strictly 2022 gang in week six.

In week seven, Ellie Simmonds and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin became the sixth couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing after a tense dance-off against Molly Rainford and her dance partner Carlos Gu.

With three votes for Molly and Carlos, it meant they had won the majority vote and would be staying in the competition. Despite this obvious win, Head Judge Shirley Ballas, who always has the last say, felt implored to state that it was one of the best dance-offs that she's ever seen - but that Molly and Carlos just clinched it.

Ellie Simmonds and  Nikita Kuzmin performed their Charleston to Too Darn Hot from Kiss Me Kate. Then Molly and her dance partner Carlos performed their Foxtrot to You Make Me Happy by My Sun and My Stars.

On her Strictly stint, Ellie told host Tess Daly, "I’ve literally had the time of my life.  It’s been the most incredible experience - life-changing really."  

"I want to thank Nikita ever so much," she continued. "I’m going to miss him – he’s changed my life and confidence. And all of you guys - the pros.  Every single one of you who’ve been part of this Strictly. Behind closed doors, the costume designers, I’ve literally loved waking up every single day and dancing, I’m going to dance forever."

An emotional Nikita admitted he wished they had more time on the show together, but that he's so happy his journey on this season was with Ellie. "She has taught me so so much, so much empathy, just so much, I’ve learnt so much in these seven weeks," he said. "I really wanted to go with you to Blackpool, I think we should go there for the rides? I love you Els, I just want to tell you every single person in this room loves you."

The Strictly 2022 favorites seem to be Hamza Yassin and Helen Skelton as it stands, but as we all know - there's plenty of time for things to change!

The remaining ten couples will take to the dancefloor next when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday November 12 at 7pm, with the results show on Sunday November 13 at 7.15pm on BBC One.
