Succession fans, rejoice—the HBO show is finally back.

The Emmy-award-winning series will return to our screens this fall after an agonizing two-year-long wait, and we're already refreshing our memory of the iconic Roy family with an unapologetic binge of the first two seasons.

Months of wondering when does Succession Season 3 come out have mercifully ended now that HBO has revealed that its release date is just a little over a month away, giving us all something to look forward to as the weather cools and the days shorten.

The exciting news was announced on Monday with an update from Succession's Twitter of a photo of family patriarch Logan Roy and the caption 'October', much to the delight of its loyal fanbase.

While the post didn't offer any other further information, it was more than enough to send viewers of the satirical comedy-drama into a frenzy. It wasn't long before the hilarious memes—mostly inspired by the cutthroat business mogul Logan Roy himself—came flooding in.

Some fans, however, aren't content with the 'hard-to-get' game tactics of the Succession team. While a teaser for Season 3 had already been dropped by HBO Max, a trailer or preview has yet to be released. After such a long wait, which was exacerbated by COVID-19 delaying production, viewers are now itching for some proper footage of the show's third season.

While Succession has kept much of Season 3 storylines under lock and key, its teaser did offer some foresight into what's to come for the mega-wealthy Roy family and their billion-dollar empire, Waystar Royco, over the next batch of episodes. The one-minute clip gives fans a sneak peek into the continued conflict between Logan and his son, Kendall Roy, as they grapple for dominance within the American conglomerate business.

"Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position," the HBO synopsis reads. "Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war."

Succession fans will also be relieved to know that, along with the addition of Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, and Jihae, the main cast will all be returning for the third season. This stellar lineup includes Brian Cox, of course, as business mogul Logan Roy, as well as Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, and Alan Ruck, who play his grown children and heirs. If that wasn't enough fingers in the money pot, they will be joined by Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun), the family's notoriously awkward and ostracized distant relative.

Waystar's staff, played by Dagmara Dominczyk, Peter Friedman, Arian Moayed, J. Smith-Cameron, and Rob Yan, will also be back for another season of office drama and nonstop stress headaches. Needless to say, we're more than ready.
