The new trailer leaves us with so many questions

HBO has finally blessed us with a first look at the much-anticipated third season of Succession—and it’s worth the hype. After the show hit some production halts due to COVID-19, the wait is finally over. Now, we get a first look at what we can expect from the latest season.

Though the creator, Jesse Armstrong, made sure to spare us any major plot details in the official trailer, we couldn’t help but look for easter eggs in everything from Kendall’s mirror pep talk to Logan’s outburst and Shiv’s spitting in a book. (What?!).

Most of our questions from last season are still unanswered, but take a look below to learn everything from where to watch Succession to when the new season will be the only thing to talk about.

When does Succession season 3 come out?

Don’t worry, HBO won’t be leaving us hanging too much longer. The network announced the Emmy-winning hit will be back this fall. In an official announcement on Twitter, HBO dropped the first official trailer along with the caption, “Are you part of this family or not? @Succession returns this fall on @hbomax.”

How did Succession season 2 end?

*Spoilers ahead* The final minutes of the finale stunned us as, in a surprising move, Kendall Roy went from being the sacrificial lamb to a man with a vendetta. Rather than take the fall for covering up the deaths and sexual assaults on Waystar Royco’s cruise lines, he implicates his father, Logan Roy, during a press conference. This also couldn’t have happened without the help of cousin Greg who supplied Kendall with all the evidence.

We’re hoping season three will finally clear up some of our burning questions though. Namely, which Roy child is ready to receive the baton from Logan?

We’re also dying to know if it’s officially the end of Tom and Shiv. Season two outed their relationship as a rocky one, especially with Shiv’s infidelity. After Tom opened up to her wondering if “the sad I’d be without you is less than the sad I get from being with you,” we can’t help but question if they’re officially done.

Who is returning for season 3?

The entire main cast will be making their grand return this fall including:

• Brian Cox as Logan Roy
• Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy
• Sarah Snook as Siobhan 'Shiv' Roy
• Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy
• Hiam Abbass as Marcia Roy
• Alan Ruck as Connor Roy
• Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans
• Nicholas Braun as Grey Hirsch
• Natalie gold as Rava Roy
• J. Smith-Cameron as Gerri Kellman

Since we have a bit of time until the season three premiere, what better way to kill the time than re-watch the first two series for any missed clues.
