Daniel Craig breaks down in tears during speech as he bids farewell to James Bond

Daniel Craig has made an emotional speech through tears as he bids farewell to his iconic role as James Bond that he has held for 15 years.

A video of Daniel on the set of his final James Bond film: No Time To Die, has been circulating on the internet and fans claim they are, 'not ready' to say goodbye to the actor.

In the short clip, the A-list actor teared up as he made a sweet speech to the cast members of the James Bond franchise. “A lot of people here worked on five pictures with me," said the actor. "And I know there’s a lot of things said about what I think about these films or whatever.

"But I’ve loved every single second of these movies and especially this one because I’ve got up every morning and I’ve had the chance to work with you guys," he said, quickly becoming teary-eyed.

"And that has been one of the greatest honors of my life," Daniel concluded as he began to choke up. He quickly led the crowd in a round of applause for all of their hard work on the James Bond franchise.

The actor has played James Bond since 2006 when he starred in Casino Royale. Since this film, Daniel has starred in three other Bond films: Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre. No Time To Die will mark his fifth and final movie in the franchise.

Fans have had an emotional reaction to this short clip and many have claimed that they are not ready to see the actor finish his role as James Bond.

One fan commented, "Absolute legend. Best Bond there will ever be." Another agreed and said, "I'm so excited to see Daniel Craig as James Bond one last time. I wish DC [Daniel Craig] would stay longer, best Bond ever!!!!"

It is likely that some members of the royal family will also be sad to see the end of the franchise. Prince Charles made a bold statement on the James Bond set in 2019 as he chatted with the cast and had a sneak peek at some of the gadgets in the next film. It is likely that as a fan, Prince Charles will also have an emotional reaction to the end of this James Bond era.

Captain America actor and Hollywood A-lister Chris Evans also commented with his reaction to the video of Daniel Craig's speech. "Damn. I’m not ready," said Chris on Twitter.

Daniel's final appearance as James Bond in No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on 30th September 2021. The US release date for this film is October 8, 2021.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy a variety of trailers that have been released in the run-up to the release date

The film will star once again feature a star-studded cast. Daniel will star as James Bond and Léa Seydoux will be reprising her role as bond girl Madeleine Swann.

Rami Malek will play Bond villain Safin, Naomi Harris will once again play Miss Moneypenny and Ana de Armas is playing a new character named Paloma.

Judi Dench, one of the world's most powerful actors will of course not be returning to the franchise as her character was sadly killed off in an earlier film.
