Uniqlo's autumn collection has arrived – these 12 expensive-looking pieces are getting me excited for cooler weather
From practical outerwear to polished knits...
Although we're currently in the midst of a heatwave, this time of year has me naturally thinking – or perhaps dreaming – about the season ahead. I would happily welcome cooler, crisper days that require a soft, well-made knit, or one of the best trench coats. I'm not wishing summer away, but the first signs of autumn and the clothes that come with it are more than welcome!
With a well-earned reputation for combining affordability, quality and style, Uniqlo go-to place to shop for a wardrobe refresh. I'm always impressed by the fabrics they use. Many of their knitted designs are made from cashmere, lambswool, and even alpaca, whilst still being at accessible price points. With cashmere jumpers starting at around £60, it makes sense that lots of their designs sell out before the depths of winter.
I've been browsing Uniqlo's latest arrivals and have found twelve standout pieces below that I'm considering for the season ahead. Several pieces have caught my eye that haven't dropped yet, too. The JW Anderson X Uniqlo straight-leg jeans, the brown gingham shoulder bag, and the lambswool crewneck jumper are set to launch by the end of August, so keep your eye out for those.
Add a pop of vibrancy to your autumn outfit ideas. It's made solely from cashmere for a cosy, soft finish. The bright red shade will liven up denim blues perfectly, or you could even layer this piece over a little black dress for an evening out.
A versatile layering piece that you can wear with a range of looks, this jacket will work with everything, from your best wide-leg jeans to tailored trousers. It's made from a crisp cotton fabric and features a contrasting corduroy collar.
A practical and stylish addition to your summer-to-autumn wardrobe, this lightweight skirt is a worthy investment. Pair it with simple T-shirts or vests and your most comfortable trainers.
This blue striped shirt is the kind of timeless piece that will earn its place in your wardrobe. Perfect for pairing with your white jeans outfits, as well as layering underneath a suede jacket, the bright blue shade is an elevated pop of colour.
Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe now or simply get ahead of the new season, Uniqlo's new-in is well worth a browse. With easy everyday staples such as the barrel-leg trousers, a practical trench coat and cosy knits, you can refresh your current rotation effortlessly, without spending a fortune.
