Uniqlo's latest accessory launch might be even better than its viral crossbody bag
I predict this new Uniqlo design will be the next best-seller for the high street label
Over the last few years, Uniqlo’s Nylon Mini Crossbody bag has been a huge hit with fashion fans. It launched back in 2022 and quickly went viral thanks to its sleek, hands-free design and its compact yet roomy size, and each season the latest iteration has continued to fly off the shelves. I own three and can confirm the nifty pouch is one of my most used and most loved accessories, but after treating myself to the brand’s latest Seersucker Shoulder Bag last week, I think I have a new favourite.
Instantly drawn to the rich brown hue, it taps beautifully into the autumn/winter fashion trends for 2026, and I liked that it's made from a seersucker fabric that has a nice bumpy texture and creates a gentle checked effect. I was impressed by how lightweight it was, and thanks to its muted colour, it already works with all my autumn outfits.
I have been using the bag on repeat for a few days now, and it hasn’t disappointed. It barely weighs anything; it has a squishy, padded shoulder strap that keeps it comfy (even when it’s full of junk), and it’s a really handy size. It's smaller than some of my extra-large totes, but just like the cult-loved crossbody bag, it manages to hold a surprising amount. I’ve used it for a day at the office, and it easily held my A4-sized laptop, my water bottle, notebook and various makeup essentials without being overloaded, and it was ideal for stashing snacks, toys and a change of clothes for my toddler while at a playdate over the weekend.
The seersucker fabric gives this one a light and breezy feel while adding interest to the otherwise simple and sporty design, and the brown colour will work well with most autumnal shades. It manages to feel both classic and contemporary all at the same time and comes with a bargain price tag of just £22.90.

As always, Uniqlo have made sure the bag is extra useful and works well for day-to-day life. It has a double-sided zip, which means I can open it from either end to grab my bank card or work pass while I'm in a hurry, and there is a handy double pocket inside too, perfect for my keys and phone.
The handbag is made from a polyester blend, which genuinely feels featherlight and easy to carry, but it's worth mentioning that the care instructions advise not to wash or dry clean, so it may not last for many seasons. I'm not too concerned, though, as the material is quite dark and textured, so I'm sure most coffee stains or pen scribbles will be hidden anyway, and it'll easily see me through the coming months, minus any mess.
The soft and relaxed silhouette means I can squish in lots of hard and awkward-shaped things without too much effort, and although it is pliable, it does have a slightly flatter and semi-firm base panel to help it keep its shape and make it stand up better when it is stashed under my desk.
Another huge plus point is the price – it's only £22.90, which is far less than most tote bags on the high street right now. It’s a total bargain but doesn’t look or feel cheap at all – and when it's layered up over my favourite reversible trench coat or a snuggly jumper, it looks very high-end, and the warm neutral design has worked well with most of my seasonal looks so far.
The Seersucker Shoulder Bag is currently available in chocolate brown, plain black and a monochrome gingham colour-way, but I imagine this bag is going to be as popular as its predecessor and that there will be plenty more colours and fabrics coming out soon. Uniqlo really has been one of my favourite places to shop when I need a new bag, and this latest design is up there with the very best.
