Sienna Miller's favourite trench coat is a high street hero – and it's now almost £100 off
I can't believe it's reduced just in time for autumn
I know it's a bit of a cliché, but truly, ever since Sienna Miller wore this incredibly chic trench coat back in 2024, it's lived rent-free in my mind. I love the gingham lining and the minimalist detailing - sometimes I find all the bells and whistles of a more traditional trench coat can overwhelm an outfit and even feel a little... corporate?
It seems fitting that Sienna wore her ecru coat in Paris, because it's the Clyde coat by effortlessly French clothing brand Sezane. Kate Middleton is a big Sezane fan, and in fact, Sienna also wore a green version of the same trench when filming in London last year - that's how good this coat really is. Sezane is the brand I always get compliments on when wearing, and whilst their new-in collection is a feast for fashion fans, this classic coat is going straight into my shopping basket at this price.
Several colours are now reduced in the Sezane archive, from £275 to either £185 or £190, depending on colour. They've all got a statement lining (note the leopard lining on the chocolate brown option - heaven!), plus they're made from a lightweight yet practical water-repellent material. The simple button-down design will work with everything in your autumn capsule wardrobe, and it's a piece you'll be wearing for years to come.

I honestly had to check and double-check the price of this when I stumbled across it. With a whopping £90 off, at the time of writing, this is available in all but one size from UK 4 up to 20. It will quickly become your go-to for autumnal weather, and I actually think this olive green colour might be my favourite of them all.
This is the style Sienna wore, and it's currently 30% off. If you're wondering what to wear it with, the Sezane Gaspard cardigan works seriously hard in my wardrobe, and I've got it in three colours.

M&S can do no wrong at the moment, so of course there's a very elegant trench coat in their autumn collection. This one has the more traditional double-breasted design, epaulettes and a belted waist.
This has quite a Sezane feel to it, and the customer reviews are seriously impressive. One wrote: "I simply cannot praise this coat enough…class, versatility, elegance. It brings my outfits together giving that overall chic feel. I would actually say it’s the best thing I’ve purchased in a very long time."
The looser silhouette of the Sezane Clyde coat is perfect for achieving that effortlessly chic style the French do so well, and the less fitted shape means it's also great for layering knitwear underneath.
In my opinion, it looks far more expensive than it is, and when you compare the cost to an investment piece like a Burberry trench coat, it's a no-brainer.
