Rotary has launched a limited edition watch that already has a wait list, and it's a great Xmas gift
What we love more than a new accessory is one that makes us feel guilt-free about splurging after payday.
Swiss brand Rotary has been making wrist wear since 1895. Launching in Britain in the 1920s, they later became one of the official watch suppliers to the British Armed Forces in 1940 during World War II.
Now, the iconic brand has created the Rotary MK II limited edition timepiece in partnership with The Royal British Legion supporting the ‘Remember Together’ campaign. Available to pre-order now, it’s a style that many already want to get their hands (wrists!) on, as there is already a waiting list.
As we all know, Remembrance Day is on the 11th of November each year, but this watch can serve as a subtle sign of respect for those we lost during the war over 75 years ago, each and every day.
Focusing on the famous emblem, there’s a little red poppy at 12 O’clock underneath the iconic Rotary logo, one on the crown (where you adjust the time) and if you flip the watch over, each model is inscribed on the back with a gorgeous poppy field design. An individual style number can also be found and added to the collector’s booklet that comes in the special limited edition box. Not only this, the 11th day of the month is highlighted in red, and double applied baton markers signify the 11th hour at 11 O’clock. We see this as not just an accessory, but something you, or a loved one, will cherish for years to come.
The sleek gold PVD plated style with silver and white dial, scratch resistant sapphire glass and black leather strap make this a great everyday watch; but the attention to detail goes way beyond your common or garden everyday watch.
Rotary will also donate £13.25 (excl VAT) from the sale of each £159 watch to the charity to provide care and support to members of The British Armed Forces and their families, past and present.
